Shiba Tsukimi

Tsukimi has yet to appear in any fiction, but from her card quote it appears that she is a Shiba who adheres tightly to Shiba's Oath. I for one am glad to see that: she and Mirabu are a welcome return to tradition amid personalities like Aikune and Yoma. She also has stunningly beautiful art, and I envy the shugenja who gets to look upon that perfect face every day!
Shiba Tsukimi1F, 2C4HR, 6GC, 3PH Phoenix Clan Samurai*Soul of Shiba Tetsu Battle: Once per battle, target a Shugenja in Tsukimi's army to give Tsukimi a Force bonus equal to that Shugenja's Chi. A staple in most Phoenix decks, Tsukimi is one of the best Switch personalities ever printed. Her Force rises to 3-5 when accompanied by one of our boxable shugenja, and in the Diamond environment (with no Deadly Ground or similar) the worst thing that can happen to her is that she gets shot before getting her force bonus. 3PH for 6G and a force that can easily reach 10 once you slap the Celestial Sword on a shugenja, Tsukimi is another of those personalities who should be considered for any deck. She even made it into my Control deck, since even a control deck has to win somehow, and no other personality gives you as much force and PH as her for so little cost. On top of that she's a really flavourful card, emphasising the shugenja/samurai partnership that is at the heart of Phoenix society and military. Here's to hoping that her story is told soon! |
