We know very little about the Soul of Shiba Ningen, other than the fact that she's a talented Ishiken (Void shugenja) - and that no other Void shugenja have come forth recently. And all that information comes from her card...
Agasha Seruma
2F, 2C
5HR, 5GC, 2PH
Phoenix Clan Shugenja*Acolyte of the Void*Soul of Shiba Ningen
Reaction: When Seruma enters play from a Province, refill her Province face-up.
A staple of Phoenix honour decks, Seruma has the distinction of being the only Phoenix shugenja who can be bought "off the box" without gaining any honour. Her 5HR is the main reason why dirty Phoenix decks don't work too well in Diamond - you can scarcely afford to lose any honour before she decides not to join you. And when a card as useful as Seruma refuses to join you, you have problems...
So why is Seruma so good? Answer: she's the complete package. She has a decent PH/GC ratio for honour running, is boxable with 2F for military, is a cheap shugenja to participate in rituals, bow to bring back samurai, Walk the Way, cast kihos or whatever, and is a good card to bow for the favour when you're not doing any of the above. Plus, her ability allows you to cycle your dynasty deck faster, letting you reach key cards faster and/or overwhelm your opponent by bringing out a swarm of small personalities at once. Really, there has to be a VERY good reason for a Phoenix player not to include 3 copies of Seruma in their deck.
