This common action from Hidden City may help change decks in the
future.
It is a reaction that says when one of your provinces is destroyed,
when
it had no defenders, choose one of the following two options. If there
was a personality face up in the province, bring it into play for free
immediately, ignoring all costs. If there was a face up event in the
province, destroy one of the attacking personalities.
Wait, how could there be a face up event? I can think of a couple of
ways off the top of my head to turn a card face up out of sequence.
First is Tai, who can do it, but he tends to have to be controled by
the
other player. Of more use, especially to Phoenix players is Agasha
Seruma. I have several times turned over the next card to have an
event
turn up. It can't resolve right away, and you often have to decide
whether to toss it or keep it. If FitHC is in your hand, you might
keep
it in the province anyway. Most events in use are powerful enough that
your opponent will want to take it out before it can be used. This
lets
you have a free Pkill out of it.
The second use to think about is holding large characters an extra
turn
in your province. Often, if you are only a turn or two away from
buying
that personality, you will ditch him to keep your deck flowing. This
card suggests you not ditch him right away. Having a personality that
is
good faceup in a province often makes it a target. If you are likely
to
lose the province anyway, use of FitHC allows for less damage. You do
lose the province, but you do get to keep the personality, which helps
your deck anyway.
I imagine this card was designed for helping against early blitz
attacks
before you have a defense ready [or at all]. With this, if the
personality is face up, you get the boost of having someone for
defending
the next turn. The large personality angle is just a byproduct. I
think
this is a good card you might think about for your next deck.
Another combo to consider is Retribution. You just gained a
personality, and their personalities were bowed from the attack that
brought him into play. Just a thought.
