How to choose a Fate deck for military

OK, so you`ve got your dynasty deck figured out, now the though part. Simply put what you want to do is take provinces as fast as possible without taking to much damage yourself.
Consider these cards and what they do for your deck;

  • Sword of the Phoenix: Else then the obvious force boost, it can create an incredable "kuro`s fire" and boost for Tsukimi.
  • Heart of Rokugan: Simple force boost.
  • Inazu Blade: 6 gold for a +3/+3 sword is a good deal. 4 gold with Kyuden Agasha.
  • Master of Bell: 3 gold for 2F and an extra Shugenja. Don`t overlook their ability.
  • Overwelmed: Good for offence and defence.
  • Tireless assault: Great card, play with it and experience possible combos.
  • Traveling Ronin: While 7 gold isn`t cheap, they suply you with 4F and a possible "suprise effect" as they are attachable in battle.
  • Isawa House Guard: Good force/gold ratio and a very good ability.
  • Kuro`s fire: Best spell in the game, use it and abuse it with the celestial sword.
  • Kouken blade: Bow a follwer shugenja or Seruma for minimal cost.

    Now that`s about two third your fate deck, you should fill the rest with follower/spell and actions while keeping in mind that your goal is to take provinces not trying out combos that take 5 turns to realise;)

    Hidden City addition(s):

  • Blessing of Steal: One of the new Formation cards. With all your Shugenja personality and followers bowing a simple Seruma could easily give you a 3F bonus!
  • Heart of Bushido: While I don`t think it`s as good in a military deck as in a honour deck, getting the Tactician trait is never a bad thing.
  • *There are many other good mility cards in Hidden City but unfortunalty many of them require Samurai/Bushi.
